A Louis XVI Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Mahogany and Parquetry Table

Circa 1900


with a slide-out leather inset writing surface on the front and drawers on either side, the underside stamped Zork Chicago.
Height 32 x width 33 x depth 18 3/4 inches.


This lot is located in Chicago.

Condition
The proper left rear leg is detached, but present and could be reattached. There is a section of molding next to the broken leg which is detached and in need of repair. The table is somewhat wobbly as a result of the detached leg. The bronze mounts and stringing with looseness, bends, and detached sections. The is a tooled leather writing surface. The drawers on either side open and close well and there is one key which works in both locks. Scattered nicks, scuffs, and scrapes consistent with age and use. The top of the table with sun fading and rings from condensation to the wood. Additional images are available upon request.
